There are lots of little phrases you become acquainted with after divorce. Co-parenting. Ex-husband/ex-wife. Legal custody. Child support. Spousal support. Mediation.

Another phrase you might have gotten somewhat familiar with is moving on. People ask you if you’ve moved on. You ask yourself if you’re ready to move on. You tell your ex, or your ex tells you, it’s time to move on.

But for as easy as it is to throw those two words out there, actually doing them is a little more difficult. There are lots of things that might hold you back from moving on after your divorce.

But here’s the real question: are these things holding you back from moving on or is it just part of the process?
