What Does Commitment to Meditation Look Like?
Do you know you need to be more committed to meditating, or do you think you’re already solidly committed?
Meditation is a lot like exercise: you won’t see results from doing it once, but if you stick with it and make it a habit, it can change everything. Meditation is just as important to your mental health as exercise is to your physical health.
Also like exercise, though, meditation can get pushed off your schedule in favor of other things. You can also half-ass it. Without a total commitment to meditation, you might get the benefits but you may not see the total life changes that can come from a solid meditation practice.
So what does commitment to meditation look like?
You have a schedule and you stick to it
Maybe you meditate daily, or every other day, or once a week. You might meditate at the exact same time every time or you might associate it with something else that you do, like drinking coffee.
Whatever your schedule for meditation looks like, you have one. It’s easily recognizable as a schedule, and it works for you.
