Working and schooling from home has made us more aware of quality time than ever
Many parents have started working from home over the last year, whether for an employer or themselves. And many kids have been doing school from home. And while neither of these things is necessarily taking up any more time than it did when we left the house to do them, doing them at home has made us more aware of how much time we spend on them.
And it’s making a lot of moms feel guilty. They feel like they’re spending too much time on screens and working. They worry they’re letting their kids have too much screen time even while knowing that it’s the only way their kids will get school done. They feel like they’re neglecting the kids to focus on work and neglecting work to focus on the kids.
When everyone is working and schooling from home, the lines between the different areas of life get very blurred. And it can be very difficult to overcome the guilt and realize that you’re doing the best you can.
So here are a few tips on overcoming mom guilt and knowing that you’re doing the right thing — whatever you’re doing.
