The Parent’s Guide to a Less Stressful Weekend

Weekends should be a time for relaxation and fun, not stress and panic.

When you’re a parent, there are things that have to be done and many times, it seems like the only time to do them is the weekends. But no one wants to spend their weekend running errands, cleaning, and working. It leads to a stressful and unrefreshing weekend — especially when the kids are complaining.

Luckily, there are ways to get things done while still having time for relaxation and pleasure. You just need to be flexible and think ahead.

Plan ahead

There might be nothing more frustrating than running around all weekend, running errands and doing chores, only to realize late on Sunday that you forgot something important. Unless perhaps it’s going through the same intersection a dozen times as you go to different places to get things done.

Planning ahead ensures that you not only get everything done but also that you do it as efficiently as possible. Take the time to write down everything you need to do — even if it’s routine or obvious, like laundry, grocery shopping, or washing the car.
