Anyone who’s been on a date in the last few years has probably heard the term “ghosting.” We all know this is when you suddenly and inexplicably never hear from someone again. Usually it refers to after a first date, but it can also be after a few dates or even a cruel way to end a long-term relationship.

But what about collecting? Or obliga-swiping? Breadcrumbing? Maybe you’ve heard of these but don’t know what they mean. Or maybe you do know what they mean, but you’re not sure how to recognize them.

Let’s take a look at these three online dating no-no’s, how to recognize them, and how to avoid both doing them yourself and being a victim of someone who does them.
