Meditating Dangerously: 5 Times Meditation Might Be Risky
While meditation isn’t generally dangerous, there are some instances when it might be a bit risky.
As a meditation teacher, there’s nothing I love more than introducing someone to the wonders and beauty of meditation. It has so many benefits and so few side effects that nearly everyone can benefit from it.
As wonderful as meditation can be, and as much as I love teaching it, there are a few situations where meditation can be dangerous. It’s not necessarily physically dangerous, but emotionally and mentally.
Does this mean you need to avoid meditation in these situations? Not necessarily. It may just mean you need to work with a medical or mental health professional to ensure your safety and well-being. But if you’re not willing to do that, then you should skip meditating.
