How many times in your life have you known you should go with Choice A but went with Choice B instead? And how many of those times did Choice B turn out badly and you thought, “Well, damn, I knew I shouldn’t have done that!”?

Or what about the times you’ve made a decision and someone else told you it was wrong. Did you stand firm in your decision regardless of their disapproval? Or did you second-guess yourself and think maybe they were right?

It happens to everyone. Including me.

For lots of people, self-trust can be pretty difficult. You tend to second-guess your every decision, not follow your gut, or forever cling onto negative memories of when you made a “bad” decision or a mistake. This makes it hard for you to trust yourself, and research has proven that this lack of self-trust leads to various challenges in our lives, profession, and relationships.

Having self-trust isn’t about being above mistakes; it’s not about being bulletproof. Trusting yourself means reclaiming your position of power and confidence in your decisions. It means not giving in to your fears and making confident decisions.
