Interested or Self-Interested?
When you’re reaching out on dating sites, find some balance
I recently received this introduction on OKCupid. While I’ve included the screenshot so you can see it as he sent it, I’ve retyped it broken down into paragraphs that’s easier to read instead of the big block of text that he sent, but left his lack of punctuation, missing spaces, etc.
He wrote:
“Hey Cutie! I do think you are somewhat of a hottie. I’m very impressed with your profile. Are you a good cook, and have good wifely skills? To cook for him, and delight, and please him, makes for a wonderful woman. I recently lost my wife, my soulmate. I’m very sad without her. I was so proud of the person she was her qualities characteristics inner and outer beauty, which I celebrated with her every day. I thought she would be my soulmate for all time, and I lost her to a terrible illness that suddenly claimed her life.
