How to Work From Home With Little Ones
When your kids are too little to be left to their own devices, you need to get a little creative to get work done.
Whether you’re working remotely because of the pandemic or trying to build your own business, working from home has a lot of benefits. But when you have little ones, it can also be a challenge. You love your kids but sometimes you just need a few minutes of peace and quiet to get things done.
Luckily, it’s not impossible to work from home with small children. You just need to be creative and willing to do things a little differently than you might have imagined.
If you’re parenting a kiddo under the age of five, here are my best tips for getting work done without neglecting the kids (or keeping the kids alive without neglecting work).
Get enough sleep
It might seem counterintuitive to tell you to spend more time sleeping when you already have a ton of stuff to do, but sleep is crucial. Sleep ensures you have patience with both the kids and work. Sleep helps you think more clearly (which improves focus and your ability to get things done) and be more creative (so you can find solutions and come up with better products, projects, and ideas).
