Beyond Survival: A Single Parent’s Guide to Thriving
Sometimes it feels like the only goal of single parenting is surviving. But you can thrive as a single parent if you remember a few simple things.
Some single parents make it look easy. They seem to glide through life without any problems or worries. When you’re not that parent, you watch them and wonder what the hell you’re doing wrong. Why do you feel like you’re drowning when they seem to be walking on water?
Life as a single parent can sometimes feel like you’re merely surviving. You earn a paycheck that immediately gets spent on bills, food, and childcare. You work all day to come home and work some more before collapsing into bed and then repeating the process the next day.
You can get past just surviving. There are a few simple things you can do that will take you from getting by to thriving and feeling like one of the single parents that make it look so easy.
