8 Ways to Deal with Anxiety & Fear Right Now

With so much chaos and so many unknowns right now, many are feeling anxious and fearful. Here are eight ways you can try to deal with those feelings.

In the span of a week, we went from barely hearing anything about a virus to suddenly being told to start using social distancing and setting special hours so our elderly have a chance to shop for their needs in safety. That’s a huge change in a short amount of time.

Many people are struggling hard with this change. You’re suddenly working from home, your kids are doing school at home, and it feels like you’re gearing up to go to war just to find toilet paper, water, or milk. You didn’t have time to plan for any of this and it’s thrown you off your game.

It’s understandable, but it doesn’t ease your anxiety or fear to know that it’s reasonable and even normal. You need some real tools you can use to try to get it under control. And that’s what I’m offering you today.

These are simple and effective tools for easing anxiety and fear with mindfulness. Because everyone is unique, and your levels of anxiety or fear may be stronger than someone else’s, I won’t promise that all, or even any, of these will work for you.
