It’s easy to get caught up in the logistics of parenting. You get busy with cooking, cleaning, homework help, after-school activities, and paying the bills and forget that you’re more than a parent. You’re a person with hopes, dreams, and wishes that have nothing to do with your kids. But parenting requires so much that you end up putting yourself on the back burner.

You deserve more than just being a parenting robot. You deserve more than to be constantly wondering if you’re doing enough or if you’re good enough.

Over all the years I’ve been a single mom, I’ve learned a lot. More than just how to stretch a budget or how to take care of two kids alone with a broken ankle and crutches, I’ve learned deeper lessons that have not only made me a better parent, but also a better person in general.
