8 Signs Self-Care Isn’t a Priority
Wondering if you’re not doing enough when it comes to self-care? Here are 8 signs that self-care is slipping down your priority list.
When things get busy or difficult, self-care should be our go-to to get through it. But it’s often the first thing to get set aside in favor of trying to get more done. Sometimes we don’t even realize we’ve stopped engaging in self-care, especially if we’re still doing the basics like eating healthy and getting some exercise.
How can you tell you haven’t made self-care a priority? Try answering these questions.
Do you often feel taken advantage of?
When people ask something of you, whether it’s a favor or a work task, do you feel like they’re taking advantage of you? Do you feel like you can’t say no and you’re always helping others? Do you feel like what you do is never good enough? Are you always apologizing? Do others take credit for the hard work you do?
These are all signs you’re being taken advantage of, and if you’re being taken for granted, it’s a clear indication you need to step up your self-care. Start by saying no and speaking up if others take credit for what you’ve done.
