6 Simple Meditations For Everyday Life
When you’re new to meditation and it feels like a foreign concept, these simple meditations can make it easier for you to slip into the habit.
In times of uncertainty, confusion and doubt, many people begin looking for things that can bring them comfort. Some go to church, some reach out to family. And some look to meditation and decide maybe this is the time to give it a try.
Meditation has tons of benefits. And it certainly provides comfort in times of stress and chaos. But if you’ve never done it before, it can also feel disconcerting and confusing itself. You read descriptions of what it should be, or what it should feel like, and you wonder if you can really do that. You wonder if you’re doing it right.
I understand these feelings. But I also understand that focusing too much on whether you’re doing it right or if you can feel what others describe can shut you down and cause you to miss out on the beauty of meditation.
So I want to offer you six simple and easy and meditations you can do that don’t require anything other than you and your attention (okay, and maybe a phone). There’s no specific posture to sit in, and no promise of feeling one way or another.
