Relationships can be beautiful things. When we find real love, a relationship can be a wonderful partnership filled with happiness, pleasure, fun, and respect.

Sometimes, however, what we find is a partner who dominates us — and not in a way we find fun. Whether it’s because the other person is toxic, or because we don’t have solid boundaries ourselves, this leads to losing ourselves in a relationship. And that can be an unbelievably bad thing.

While it’s natural for some things to change when we find the one for us, there are some changes that are clear signs that you’re losing yourself.

You give in to all their demands

This might be the most obvious sign of losing yourself in a relationship. In a healthy relationship, we want to make our partner happy, but we also want to be happy ourselves.
