When time is of the essence, you need quick ways to make your life easier and healthier.
Single moms are always on the go. Downtime is a mythical thing that we’re pretty sure we’ve heard about but have never met in person. But we still need to take care of ourselves. We might not have hours every day to do it, but we need to find little ways to make sure it happens.
The good news is it’s not that hard. Making sure you stay healthy and happy can be done with a few simple tricks and just a few minutes a day. And when you feel like you can’t do it? Remember that your kids are counting on you, and that means you need to be your best self.
Put EVERYTHING on your calendar
“I’ll remember.” How many times have you said that and then promptly forgotten whatever it was? Trust me, it’s a lot, I know. That’s why my first suggestion is that you put everything on your calendar. Preferably a digital calendar that will offer reminders.
I mean everything. Schedule in your workouts, meal planning and cooking, carpool, grocery shopping, bill paying — everything you do, schedule it in. If you don’t, things will get dropped. Things will be missed — and most of the time, they’re not the minor things that don’t…
